Argyle Socks

How my heart melts at the sight of any remnant of the 50's.

frilly aprons
high-waisted skirts
sweater vests
poky glasses
and especially, oh especially argyle socks.

Help! I'm a senior citizen trapped in a youth's body! It is no I wonder I cannot relate to rock concerts, explicit language, teenage antics.... in general. It is no wonder I best relate in knitting group.

It is becoming a nuisance how many corny jokes I laugh at in class.

teacher "jokes"--

"I'll cut off your left hand if you use the semicolon!" ...student response(w/ said punctuation)..."it is so brazen* of you to use the semicolon when I instructed you not to!"

slip of words--

"snow-man arguments"

intentional jokes--

"Why won't the crab share?........Because he's too shellfish!"

Fits of hysteric giggles erupt in the front row. Oh no....

*Brazen-marked by flagrant and insolent audacity

New Etsy Items

We have been designing, and knitting, and more designing, and even more knitting. It's been a long process to list new items for etsy, mostly because we start so many projects at a time. This means we'll have a ton of new items finished at once, but with empty spaces in between. Our process can be described as a wave in the ocean. We have one big rush of finished projects, and then there is always a calm when the ocean is making up its mind about what shape, what color, and just how foamy the next wave should be. That's us.

In the Works for our etsy shops are -

blankets, hats, and booties for Double Knit Twins, our baby shop.

blankets, pouches, and cute accessories for Molly Knits, our puppy shop.

shawls, scarves, cowls, and assorted warmies for Posh Knits, our adult shop.

To be able to list any of these items, the rain must relent for our photo shoots to go well. Also, we must purchase a dress form for Posh Knits. I feel as if it is taking an eternity for this wave to come. Our oceanic minds and needles are just taking their time.

Vacactions, Vacations

I love Vacations. I love walking by the ocean and watching the footprints appear behind me. I love sitting by the pool and falling asleep in the sunshine. I love waking up to the ocean sunrise right out your window. I love long car trips to knit, and knit, and knit.

We have a party coming up in May, so it was mandatory to sun as much as possible. We inherited our mother's genes of tanning: pale to red to a teeny bit tanner. *repeat* Poor me, must do some more sunning...

We marveled at all the seashells and gathered the choice beauties. We were sure to collect some with holes to experiment with.

It was a wonderful trip.
